Last week was National Patient Safety Week. While patient safety is a top priority at Michigan Medicine throughout the year, Patient Safety Week offers an opportunity to recognize faculty and staff for their excellent work and steadfast commitment to providing the safest, most reliable care for patients every day.

In recent days and weeks, the organization has witnessed an amazing response and tremendous support from employees around the COVID-19 pandemic and additional measures being taken to ensure the safety of not only patients, but visitors and employees, as well.

This week, leaders from the Adult Hospitals shared a “Short Takes” video update with faculty and staff across University Hospital and Frankel Cardiovascular Center, thanking them for their hard work to create and maintain a safe environment for patients and employees. However, their message is one that applies to all Michigan Medicine employees.

We invite you to take a few moments to enjoy the “Short Takes” video — a Patient Safety Week recap — in celebration of faculty and staff who work tirelessly every day to create and maintain a safe environment for patients and employees.
