TheRide announces reduced service
Due to the situation regarding the spreading of COVID-19, The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) has announced a reduced service schedule.
Effective today, March 19, TheRide’s service reductions are:
- There will be no service on Route 63 (U-M – Pontiac) or Route 41 (EMU College of Business Shuttle).
- Route 4 (Washtenaw) service will be reduced to every 15-30 minutes in mornings/afternoons and every 30 minutes in the evenings. There will be no 4B service. Service will operate from 6:08 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
- Route 62 (U-M – State) service will be reduced to every 30 minutes with trips leaving Wolverine Tower at :15 and :45 minutes past the hour. Service will operate from 6:45 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.
- Service on AirRide, direct service to Detroit Metro Airport from the Blake Transit Center has been suspended until further notice.
In addition to reduced schedules, TheRide has already temporarily suspended the collection of fares on its fixed-routes and demand response services and temporarily closed to the public the Ypsilanti Transit Center, Blake Transit Center and TheRide’s front desk at 2700 S. Industrial Highway. The above steps will continue for a weekly rolling period and will be reassessed daily.
