RISE wants to learn about education innovations created during COVID-19
COVID-19 has presented unprecedented challenges to our society, health care systems and education structures. To face these challenges, the Michigan Medicine community has moved beyond traditional ideas, rules and patterns to generate meaningful alternatives in health sciences education.
RISE (Research. Innovation. Scholarship. Education) is interested in learning about these alternatives as it continues to address new and changing needs for health sciences learners. RISE is particularly interested in:
- New education processes, modalities and content that have been adopted and should continue after COVID-19;
- Rapid implementation of education activities you have witnessed or been part of during COVID-19;
- Education activities that have challenged the status quo (existing structures, constraints and assumptions) to achieve necessary results; and
- Longstanding barriers that have been bent during COVID-19 that we should avoid reinstating.
RISE will be cataloging these education innovations and valuable resources and sharing them with its community of innovators so that it can cultivate them and continue to bolster education innovation at Michigan Medicine.
Please share your experiences by emailing michmedrise@umich.edu to schedule a time to talk to s RISE team member.
