Molly Stout, M.D., MSCI, named director of Maternal Fetal Medicine

Molly Stout, M.D., MSCI

Molly Stout, M.D., MSCI, has been named director for the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Stout comes from Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as the interim chief of MFM and associate fellowship director.

Molly was raised in Lathrup Village, Michigan. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College and then attended the Loyola University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the AOA honor society. She completed her residency and fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Washington University, where she also obtained a Master of Science in clinical investigation.

Stout’s research interests include the role of the vaginal microbiome and the maternal response related to preterm birth and novel cervical imaging for early detection of preterm birth. Her research is funded through the NIH, the March of Dimes and industry.
