This week, Michigan Medicine joined with health care organizations across the country to recognize National Patient Safety Awareness Week.

This week of education is sponsored by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, with the goal of raising awareness and dialogue among health care providers, patients and their families to enhance safety and patient care.

Although safety is important all year, Patient Safety Week is an additional opportunity to engage your colleagues, patients and their families in conversations about safety and why it is a top priority at Michigan Medicine.
