Information regarding equipment needed to work from home

Health Information Technology & Services has received questions regarding the use of the organization’s equipment in order to work from home.

Here is important information faculty and staff need to know: 

• Faculty and staff are able to transport their existing equipment home to enable telework, but HITS asks that you help track it by updating an item in the HITS Service Catalog on Devices for Temporary Telework.  
• You’ll also find in this item a method to request new equipment for telework, so that HITS can prioritize distribution of scarce equipment. This is broken out by Aspect users and non-Aspect users. These requests will be governed by UMHS and medical school leadership to ensure the organization is balancing support for everyone during the response to COVID-19.
