A Thank You from Marschall

During this unprecedented time in our country due to the coronavirus pandemic, I want to share my deep gratitude for the entire Michigan Medicine community and our continued operations. This is an incredibly challenging time for all health care providers as we face uncertainty and great complexity, both in our professional and our personal lives. The outstanding teamwork, planning, and forward thinking for COVID-19 preparedness that I have seen across the organization is nothing short of incredible.

I sincerely thank all of the teams who have come together to determine how we manage COVID-19 patients, while still maintaining the best care for all of our other patients, both in the inpatient and ambulatory settings.

It is critical that we remain vigilant about practicing the behaviors that will prevent transmission of COVID-19 and other viruses. There is no doubt that these will be beneficial. We have initiated screening at our medical campus entrance points; if you have any signs of illness, please stay home. It is imperative that we continue to maintain the safest environment possible, not only our patients, but also our precious workforce.

I know this is an extremely challenging time, on multiple fronts. Thank you for your commitment, your compassion and your strength during this pandemic.
