You’re invited: CBSSM Research Colloquium and Bishop Lecture in Bioethics

All Michigan Medicine faculty and staff are invited to attend the Research Colloquium and Bishop Lecture in Bioethics hosted by the Center for Bioethics and Social Sciences in Medicine (CBSSM).

The event will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 11 in Forum Hall at Palmer Commons (100 Washtenaw Ave. in Ann Arbor).

Danielle Ofri, M.D., Ph.D,, will present the Bishop Lecture with a talk entitled: “The Amygdala and the Stethoscope: Do Emotions Affect the Practice of Medicine?”

Additonally, there will be a panel hosted by CBSSM Director Reshma Jagsi, M.D., D.Phil., on the topic of gender equity in academic medicine. Joining Jagsi will be Ofri, Carol Bradford, M.D., executive vice dean for academic affairs, and former CBSSM Director Angela Fagerlin, M.D., Ph.D.
