Required work restrictions for employees with influenza

February 21, 2020  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Please be advised that influenza activity is at peak levels in the community with multiple strains of influenza circulating right now.

It is important that you don’t come to work when you are experiencing influenza symptoms. Staying home when you are sick will help keep coworkers and patients from being exposed to influenza.

If you develop fever and upper respiratory symptoms (URI) like cough, runny nose or sore throat OR you have symptoms of influenza-like illness (URI symptoms with muscle aches, chills or headache) with or without fever, you must stay home until your fever and symptoms have resolved for at least 24 hours (without medication).
