Among the stars: Which MVPs stand out in your unit or department?
Yesterday, football fans from coast-to-coast tuned in as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. While their victory was led by game MVP Patrick Mahomes, it was truly made possible thanks to the impact that every player made throughout the game — no matter their role.
In much the same way, Michigan Medicine only carries out world-class patient care, education and research because everyone pitches in and carries the load.
Headlines wants to know which colleagues stand out among the impressive crowd. Who, just like Mahomes on Sunday, serves as the MVP in your unit or department?
Email nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, Feb. 12, and the top submissions will win cool prizes, such as Michigan Medicine swag and more. And everyone who is nominated will be named in a future edition of Headlines.
So go ahead and nominate. It can be an individual who makes an impact both at Michigan Medicine and across the state, such as physician assistant Jill Hasen, who was recently appointed to the Michigan Task Force on Physician Assistants. Or it can be an entire team who has come together to advance the organization’s mission — such as 7D, which recently earned a 365 Days of Safety Award from the organization. Or just nominate a colleague who shows that they care day in and day out.
No matter who it is — and why you choose to honor them — your coworkers deserve to be recognized for all they do for patients, families and colleagues every day.
