All Michigan Medicine faculty and staff are invited to the 30th annual MLK Health Sciences Lecture featuring Jalonne L. White-Newsome, Ph.D. The lecture will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. at Dow Auditorium inside University Hospital’s Towsley Center.

Her talk, titled “The (Mis)Education of US on Climate and Health,” will focus on the intersection of climate change, health and racial equity. Refreshments will be served both before and after the lecture.

The MLK Health Sciences Committee will provide a charter bus from Hill Auditorium to Towsley Center for all guests who would like to attend the 2020 MLK Health Sciences Lecture and the MLK Symposium on main campus. A blue U-M bus marked “CHARTER” will be staged on North University Ave., just outside of Hill Auditorium. The first bus will leave Hill Auditorium at 11:20 a.m. and will circle back around to pick up additional guests as needed.

For those who cannot attend the MLK Health Sciences Lecture in person, the lecture will also be available via live stream at this link.
