From enhanced benefits to MHealthy Rewards, the week at Headlines was filled with ways employees can enjoy the perks of working for Michigan Medicine!

For instance, on Thursday, Human Resources outlined all the ways benefits have changed in 2020 — including increased retirement savings and new shift premiums. Earlier in the week, MHealthy rolled out its annual Rewards program, which helps employees learn about their health and work to improve it; the Office of the Staff Ombuds shared how it helps resolve workplace conflicts; and HITS unveiled ways in which it is improving customer service.

New FY20 enhanced benefits begin with January paychecks

As of Jan. 1, a series of enhanced benefits took effect for eligible U-M Health System and Shared Services employees. Among them: enhanced retirement savings, increased holiday pay and shift premiums, and the option of PTO sell back. Click here for details!

Each year, more than 20,000 U-M employees participate in MHealthy Rewards — a program that helps them learn about and take steps to improve their health. Be one of those employees in 2020! All you have to do is register by May 15 — and you can start earning money simply by completing healthy activities. Learn more about this unique program.

At Michigan Medicine, an important resource is in place to help staff members who feel they are being treated unfairly, experiencing intimidating or abusive behavior in the workplace, or believe their concerns are not being heard: The Office of the Staff Ombuds.
