Free bluegrass concert coming to Michigan Medicine

January 8, 2020  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Huron Ridge is a bluegrass duo consisting of Willie Carter on acoustic guitar and vocals and Chris Dawson on mandolin and vocals.

They play a mix of original and traditional bluegrass songs. Their sound moves the listener to the Appalachian Mountains, and their blended vocal harmonies are a throwback to old-time brother duos.

While they love and honor the traditional sound, they also bring a fresh and original interpretation to the music.

The duo has recently performed at bluegrass festivals, local music venues and on bluegrass radio shows. On Thursday, they’ll perform at Michigan Medicine.
