On Feb. 18 and 19, Michigan Medicine will have the chance to help the American Red Cross meet a critical need for blood.

That’s when the organization will hold a blood drive in the Towsley Lobby. The drive will take place from 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. each day. It is being held as part of the Winter University Challenge between U-M, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State.

To schedule an appointment, log into RedCrossBlood.org (sponsor code: goblue), call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or contact Erin Burns at 313-549-7039 or erin.burns2@redcross.org. Appointments are highly recommended, though walk-ins are accepted as space permits. Please bring a photo ID.

You can also streamline your donation experience and save up to 15 minutes by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass to complete your pre-donation reading and health history questions on the day of your appointment.
