Tag your calendar, Galens Tag Days 2019 is approaching!
It is that time of year again when the days get shorter and the temperature gets colder! Along with it though comes a three-day stretch where buckets get heavier, smiles get bigger and happiness grows stronger.
For 92 years, the U-M Medical School has dedicated its time and energy during the first weekend of December to raise money to improve the lives of Washtenaw County children who are underserved, at-risk, hospitalized, or diagnosed with a chronic medical or mental health condition. The 93rd year will be no different!
Once again, medical students will be donning red ponchos, holiday apparel and their favorite onesies while they take to the streets of Ann Arbor in an effort to collect donations in support of local organizations that serve children in need.
Last year was a huge success as Galens Tag Days raised more than $81,000 with the help of your generosity. Some organizations that were helped included Girl’s Group, North Star Reach, Ozone House and several others.
This year, the 93rd annual Galens Medical Society Tag Days fundraiser will take place from Thursday, Dec. 5 through Saturday, Dec. 7.
