Faculty workshop: Cultivating resilience

December 13, 2019  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

The study of resilience, the ability to recover, grow and thrive when coping with challenge or adversity, is a core concept in Positive Psychology. Resilience is universally regarded as an important quality for professionals and is imperative for those working in demanding and high-stress domains. Resilience is teachable, with a focus on concrete skills and practices.

This upcoming class will introduce participants to principles, tools and exercises to enhance and cultivate resilience.

Facilitator: Sarah Schneider Hong, LMSW

Hong is a seasoned behavioral health educator, psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker.

She completed her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Duke University prior to earning her masters in social work from U-M. Her career has been devoted to understanding and enhancing well-being with evidence-based conventional and complementary principles and practices.

Hong has designed and delivered wellness programming nationally for a wide range of participants.
