Plan ahead and expect delays: Ann Arbor road construction

Please be advised that upcoming and ongoing construction projects are likely to cause traffic disruptions around Ann Arbor.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if you will be traveling in the area.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • From today until tomorrow, Nov. 2, Fourth Avenue is scheduled to be closed to all traffic between Huron and Washington.
    • Southbound vehicles will be detoured eastbound on Huron to southbound Fifth Avenue, westbound Washington, back to southbound South Fourth Avenue.
    • Northbound traffic will be detoured west on Washington, north on Main Street, east on Huron to northbound North Fourth Avenue.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
  • From 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4 until 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, Hill Street from South Forest Avenue to Church is expected to be closed.
    • Eastbound Hill Street will be detoured to northbound East University, eastbound Willard, then southbound South Forest back to Hill.
    • Westbound Hill Street will be detoured north on South Forest Avenue, west on Willard Street, south on East University Avenue back to Hill Street.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
  • From 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4 until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, southbound Platt Road from Packard to East Ellsworth is anticipated to be closed.
    • Southbound traffic will be detoured at Packard Road west to southbound Stone School Road, then eastbound on East Ellsworth, then northbound on Platt.
    • Northbound traffic will be maintained.
  • On Tuesday, Nov. 5, First Street from Ann Street to Huron is scheduled to be closed.
    • Vehicles will be detoured eastbound on Ann, then south on Main Street, west on Huron back to First.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
