Plan ahead and expect delays: Road closures around Ann Arbor

Please be advised of ongoing road closures that may cause traffic disruptions around Ann Arbor.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Beginning today and lasting until Saturday, Nov. 2, westbound Geddes Avenue is scheduled to be closed between Washtenaw Avenue and Church Street. Bus traffic will be routed to one lane in each direction on eastbound Geddes.
  • Beginning Monday, Nov. 4 and lasting through Saturday, Nov. 9, eastbound Geddes is anticipated to be closed between Church Street and Washtenaw. Bus traffic will be routed to one lane in each direction on westbound Geddes.
    • During each set of closures, all other eastbound traffic on Geddes will be detoured south on Church Street, east on South University, north on South Forest and Observatory Street back to Geddes.
    • Westbound Geddes traffic will be detoured south on Washtenaw, south on South Forest, west on South University, north on Church Street back to Geddes.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
  • Between now and tomorrow, Oct. 29, Fourth Avenue is expected to be closed to all traffic between Huron and Washington.
    • Southbound vehicles will be detoured eastbound on Huron to southbound on Fifth Avenue, west on Washington to south on South Fourth Avenue.
    • Northbound traffic will be detoured westbound on Washington Street, north on Main Street, east on Huron Street to northbound North Fourth Avenue.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
