2019 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Pulse Survey launches today!

With just a few mouse clicks, you can help shape the future and employee culture at Michigan Medicine.
Many Voices, the organization’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Pulse Survey, launches today, giving employees the opportunity to share their opinion on topics such as communication, respect and teamwork.
Here’s what you need to know to ensure your voice is heard:
When can I take the survey?
The survey is available now through Friday, Oct. 25.
How do I access the survey?
You can access the online survey by clicking the generic link sent to your work email address from “Michigan Medicine DEI Pulse Survey.” You can also access the survey by clicking here. Please note that a password is required to participate in the survey because all employees have access to the survey using the same generic link.

How do I know what my password is?
Your password is your 8-digit UMID and the last two digits of your birth year.
Example: If your UMID is 12345678 and your birth year is 1979, your password is 1234567879.
Employees with dual appointments should talk to their supervisor or Culture Coach / DEI Implementation Lead for additional information to ensure their feedback is reported accurately and to the appropriate department.
Will my responses remain confidential even though I’m required to use a password?
Yes. Logging on with a password simply ensures users only complete the survey once. Unique participant information, including whether or not individual team members have taken the survey, is retained by third-party vendor Press Ganey and not shared with Michigan Medicine, guaranteeing confidentiality.
Will I be able to provide comments?
Yes. One open-ended feedback question will be included in the staff version of the survey. While comments can be left in the survey, it is encouraged that any concerns related to inappropriate behavior or specific events that have occurred be reported via the Compliance Hotline rather than submitting through the survey. Submissions through the Hotline can be anonymous, if desired, and will ensure concerns are reported to and investigated by the appropriate individuals.
