MiChart upgrade coming Oct. 20
The next MiChart upgrade is planned for Sunday, Oct. 20. MiChart System downtime for the upgrade is expected to be from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.
The October upgrade will include updates, system maintenance and new features to the MiChart application. The most notable enhancement that will touch every MiChart user is the Storyboard, a redesigned workspace for users that replaces the Patient Header and provides quicker access to key details and common actions without switching screens.
Storyboard will be a unifying feature across MiChart modules and users, telling the patient’s story in a consistent way, while also specializing the tools and information presented to the user for their role.
For more information, visit the upgrade page of the MiChart website and view the “It’s Possible” video for Storyboard.
MLearning training is here
Effective today, training for the latest upgrade to Michigan Medicine’s Electronic Health Record is available in MLearning.
To prepare for the Storyboard and other enhancements, these eLearning modules have been prepared for all MiChart users to complete before these changes go into effect. All clinicians and MiChart users are encouraged to complete the eLearning modules to ensure that there is a seamless upgrade and go-live on Oct. 20.
MiChart users who have attended practice environments and change labs are still encouraged to take the eLearning to see additional features.
MiChart users are also invited to attend the practice environment where they can test their daily workflows in an upgraded environment. This is available through Virtual Places (https://vplaces.med.umich.edu).
Select the Epic MiChart Upgrade Practice Environment icon to log in. Detailed instructions for accessing the practice environment, including login and patient information, can be found on the Practice Environment webpage.
