You’re invited: Group discussion on Data Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMBs) for statisticians

On Thursday, Sept. 12, the Applied Biostatistical Sciences (ABS) Network is hosting Susan Ellenberg, Ph.D., as its visiting professor. Ellenberg is professor of biostatistics, medical ethics, and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
You are invited to attend an informal, group discussion with Ellenberg from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 in the NCRC Building 10 South Atrium. During this session, Ellenberg will address questions related to the expectations of being a statistician member of Data and Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMBs) of clinical trials, best practices for statisticians who report to DSMBs, and issues and controversies that arise during the monitoring of ongoing trials.
