Video: Caden’s Car Show a delight for kids at Mott
At least 150 kids at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital attended Caden’s Car Show on Sunday, where they could check out more than 60 cars and other super cool vehicles without leaving the hospital!
In fact, a Lego Batmobile, the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile, the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear IndyCar Show Car as well as a Rolls-Royce Dawn, McLaren 720S Spider, Bentley Bentayga and Audi RS5 Sportback were on the rooftop of the P3 parking structure, much to the delight of the kids and families who attended.
Kids who were too sick to come outside for the show were able to enjoy special activities inside the hospital, including a video arcade and Lego robots.
The show was named in honor of Caden Bowles, an extraordinary 11-year-old Congenital Heart Center patient who passed away while waiting for a suitable donor. Congenital heart disease affects 1 in 110 children born in Michigan each year. Mott honors Caden’s memory, curiosity and spirit with this annual event.
