Description

Rosemary Bak Lowery, MS, CHES®, CNP, ACSM-CPT; Health Educator and Tobacco Treatment Specialist at University of Michigan’s Tobacco Consultation Service will discuss the connection between smoking and mental health/substance use disorders, challenges faced in quitting and resources for quitting.  People in recovery can quit smoking, and when they do, they experience improved mental health and greater rates of sobriety.  Free quit kits will be available in preparation for the Great American Smoke Out on November 21 2019, courtesy of University of Michigan’s Tobacco Consultation Service! This event is part of the free Dawn Farm Education Series. All are welcome, and no registration is required. 1.5 free CE hours are provided for addiction professionals.
