Expect delays: Road work around Ann Arbor

Please be advised that a number of construction projects are expected to take place over the next few days.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area.

Here’s what you need to know:

• From today through Saturday, Aug. 24, the intersection of Fifth Avenue and William is scheduled to be closed to through traffic.
  • For Fifth Avenue, southbound traffic will be detoured westbound on Liberty Street, southbound on Fourth Avenue, eastbound on Madison Street to Fifth.
  • For William Street, eastbound traffic will be detoured southbound on Fourth Avenue, eastbound on Packard Street, northbound on Division Street to William.
  • Local and pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
• On Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25, intermittent single-lane closures are anticipated along Green Road between Plymouth Road and Gettysburg Road/Burbank Drive.

• Beginning Saturday, Aug. 24, intermittent single-lane closures are expected along Fuller Road between the Huron River and the easterly end of Fuller Court.

• From 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, South State Street is scheduled to be closed from Huron to West Washington.
  • Southbound traffic will be detoured east on Huron, south on Fletcher, west on Washington back to State.
  • Northbound traffic will be detoured east on Washington, north on Fletcher, west on Huron back to State.
  • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.

• Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, equipment will be in place in the right lanes nearest the curb in the section of Washtenaw Avenue at Pittsfield Boulevard.
  • One lane in either direction of Washtenaw Avenue will be maintained (in the first week, one lane will be maintained westbound; and the following week, one eastbound lane will be maintained.)
  • Both lanes in each direction will be maintained over the Labor Day weekend.
  • The project is expected to be completed by Friday, Sept. 6.

• From Monday, Aug. 26 until Saturday, Sept. 14, Pontiac Street between Moore and Barton Drive is scheduled to be closed between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Northbound traffic will detoured north from the intersection of Plymouth/Broadway/Moore/Maiden Lane onto Plymouth Road, west on Barton Drive back to Pontiac.
  • Southbound traffic will occupy the northbound (east) lane.
  • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
