Update: Busse isolation gowns

July 26, 2019  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Michigan Medicine is changing its emergency preparedness strategy and the Busse gowns that have been stored in the warehouse will no longer be used in this capacity.

However, there is a considerable amount of stock of these gowns that have already been purchased by the institution. The organization plans to use these gowns in place of the current isolation gowns in order to minimize waste.

Michigan Medicine has used these gowns in the past and they provide the appropriate level of protection. In addition, many staff have already used these gowns.

There are approximately 90 days of inventory that will begin to return into the supply stream on July 30 for use by our staff.  Once the supply of these gowns has been depleted, the organization will return to its current isolation gown.

Thank you for your support.
