HealthRX to track required and recommended immunizations

For the protection of patients and staff, health system workforce members are required to document immunity to certain communicable diseases, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), and pertussis (see UMHS policy 04-006-02, available here).

As of this week, Occupational Health Services (OHS) is transitioning to a software system called HealthRx for tracking of all required and recommended immunizations for workforce members. HealthRx is already used to track annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis testing.

Beginning on Monday, July 15, workforce members will receive e-mail notifications from HealthRx if OHS does not have appropriate documentation of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, varicella or pertussis. If you receive a notification, please contact OHS in person or by e-mail to determine what steps need to be taken to ensure compliance with the policy.

Workforce members are expected to respond by Aug. 30.
