Getting outdoors for some good exercise is essential for a child’s development, especially when there’s not much to do during summer vacation.

The club is a free program for school-aged kids, and relies on medical students — including those from U-M — to serve as volunteers.

Recently, Nix talked all about the exciting youth organization on this week’s “On the Ground-Ypsi” podcast.
