All Michigan Medicine faculty and staff are invited to attend the Geriatrics Center Research Symposium on Thursday, May 9.
The event will be highlighted by a keynote address to be given by Brian Kennedy, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry and Physiology, Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS Singapore.
Here’s a full rundown of Thursday’s events, which will take place at BSRB (109 Zina Pitcher Place):
- Geriatrics Center annual research retreat:10 a.m. – 3 p.m., BSRB rooms 1020A, 1130-1170; This event will feature the keynote speaker, short talks from students and faculty, a poster session and ample refreshments.
- “Paths to Modifying Human Aging – Translating Discoveries in Animal Models”: 11:45 a.m., BSRB Auditorium (room 1020A); presented by Brian Kennedy, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry and Physiology, Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS Singapore.
