Learn best strategies to educate high-risk patients at next Patient Education and Health Literacy ForUM

The next Patient Education ForUM on Wednesday, May 29, will feature Gina Dahlem, Ph.D. from the U-M School of Nursing. Dahlem will discuss the most effective methods for educating opioid-using patients about overdose prevention and use of naloxone.

Karla Stoermer Grossman, M.S.A., B.S.N., R.N. from the Children’s Asthma Wellness Program will discuss teaching complicated medication schedules and self-management to high risk pediatric asthma patients and their caregivers.

All Michigan Medicine clinicians and staff are invited to attend. The event will be held from 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the Research Auditorium at the North Campus Research Complex (NCRC) building 10 (enter via building 18).

1.5 Nursing Contact Hours (CNE) will be provided to attendees.
*0.75 fulfills the Pain CE requirement for re-licensure in Michigan
