Coming soon: Upgrade to Toad Data Point Professional
Health Information Technology and Services is pleased to share that Toad Data Point Professional will be upgraded to version 5.0 later this month.
Users can expect improved performance, increased security and fixed bugs.
As part of version 5.0’s increased security, end users are required to create an account with Quest. Michigan Medicine users will need to create an account using their @med.umich.edu email address because this email address domain is linked to the Michigan Medicine license number.
Anyone who wishes to use Toad Data Point Professional that does not have a @med.umich.edu email address will need to purchase the product directly from Quest as domain @umich.edu is not covered under the contract.
New features will also be available, including:
- Build and save custom workflows to query data, generate result sets and produce reports
- In a Workbook, a change to your initial query is automatically applied to subsequent tasks
- Create a PostgreSQL ODBC connection without defining a data source name (DSN)
- Materialized views and indexes are displayed in the Object Explorer for PostgreSQL connections
This upgrade will be included as part of CoreImage. This means that any Michigan Medicine computer that already has Toad Data Point Professional will be automatically upgraded to version 5.0. Toad Data Point Professional is not available for Macs.
