The American Red Cross currently has a critical shortage of type O blood, which is necessary for patients facing trauma and other life-threatening conditions.
Over the next week, the Red Cross will be holding three blood drives at Michigan Medicine. If you would like to donate — donors with all types of blood will be accepted — please consider attending one of these drives:
- Tuesday, May 21: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., North Campus Research Complex, Dining Room, Building 18
- Tuesday, May 21: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., University Hospital, Towsley Lobby
- Wednesday, May 22: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., University Hospital, Towsley Lobby
To schedule an appointment, log onto redcrossblood.org and use promo code “goblue,” or call 1-800-733-2767.
Walk-ins will be accepted, though appointments are highly recommended.
All those who attend will receive a $5 Amazon gift card.
Thank you for doing your part to help those in need!
