Show how you make a difference on DNA Day this Thursday

April 23, 2019  //  FOUND IN: Our Employees

This Thursday, April 25, is National DNA Day, launched by the National Institutes of Health to draw attention to the importance of research on genetic material.

If your research or clinical care have to do with DNA, RNA or other genomic topics, this is a chance to show how you’re making a difference.

Simply download and print one of the signs available here, hold it up (maybe with a couple of colleagues) and have someone take a photo with their smartphone. Be sure to wear appropriate safety gear and protect confidential information when you do!

Then, post the image on social media using the hashtag #UMinmyDNA as well as the national hashtag, #DNADay19.

Or send the image and a description of who’s in it and where you are to DNAsocial@umich.edu

Together, Michigan Medicine can show the world what contributions the university is making toward scientific understanding and health using genetic techniques!
