You’re invited: Free, inaugural Medical Education Symposium
The Office of Faculty Development will host its inaugural (and complimentary!) Medical Education Symposium on Sept. 17 at the Ann Arbor Marriott at Eagle Crest. The symposium is a day to focus on techniques and strategies that can improve student and trainee engagement as well as your effectiveness as a teacher.
Featuring four keynote speakers and two breakout sessions, participants will learn about and engage on topics such as:
- Coaching and mentorship
- Technology to enhance teaching
- Quality improvement and patient safety
- Facilitating difficult discussions in small groups
- Providing effective feedback
- Teaching across generations
- And more!
The day will feature keynote speaker Richard Boyatzis, Ph.D,, distinguished university professor, H.R. Horvitz Professor of Family Business, professor of organizational behavior, Case Western Reserve University.
