Congratulations to Michigan Medicine, which has been named to Newsweek’s inaugural list of the World’s Best Hospitals 2019.

The list recognizes the best 1,000 hospitals across 11 countries: U.S., Canada, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia and Israel.

The hospitals were evaluated using data from three sources:

  • Hospital recommendations from peers: an online survey conducted among tens of thousands of doctors, hospital managers and health care professionals
  • Patient experience: surveys measuring patient satisfaction with hospitals
  • Medical KPIs (e.g. rate on quality of treatment, hygiene measures)
