Last call: Submit your limerick for annual Headlines Health Care Poetry Contest!
Today is the final day to submit your poetry for the Headlines Health Care Poetry Contest!
This year, Headlines is asking employees to submit limericks — a humorous poem made up of three long lines and two short lines, rhyming aabba.
Patients come to our clinics for care
And they find awesome employees while there
So when they check out,
They’re sure to shout
“Go anywhere else if you dare!”
Here are some of the contest rules:
- Each poem must be a limerick and be related to health care, education or research.
- All faculty, staff and students are eligible to enter the contest.
- Entries must be in good taste and appropriate for the workplace. Derogatory remarks, inflammatory language and potentially offensive content will not be accepted.
- Limericks should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of day today, April 10.
- Have fun!
Headlines wants to see how imaginative you are. Show off your talents and you could be named a limerick leader at Michigan Medicine, win a great prize and have your work published in a future edition of the newsletter!
