Heritage Project looks back at 150 years at the hospital

What started as 20 beds in a converted house after the Civil War has developed into a nationally recognized system of care.

The Heritage Project looks at the 150-year history of U-M’s health care operation, from a facility that could barely be called a hospital to the wide-ranging enterprise now known as Michigan Medicine.
