Allan Andrews retires
Congratulations goes out to Allan Andrews on his retirement this month! After 27 years of service with UH/CVC Respiratory Care, Allan is retiring. Allan began his career at UM as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in October of 1992. He is a US Army veteran and holds undergraduate degrees from Ferris State University and Western Michigan University. He continued his education and acquired a Master degree from Michigan State University. To show our commitment to diversity, even back then, we promoted this “Sparty” to be the Clinical Specialist for the Neuro ICU. Allan served in this capacity for past 17 years until his decision to retire. Throughout these years, he served on numerous committees, made countless contributions to improving the care of our patients, and trained hundreds of caregivers in the principles of respiratory care. The Department and Neuro ICU held private celebrations honoring his achievements and commitment. For those who know Allan, please don’t hesitate reaching out to him to recognize these accomplishments. Again, congratulations Allan! GO BLUE!!!
