Watching the U-M game tonight? Root for science, too!
The U-M men’s basketball team isn’t the only one with a big tournament matchup tonight — Michigan Medicine scientists have one too!
The STAT Madness virtual tournament of science is down to eight teams, and one is Team Tinnitus, led by Susan Shore, Ph.D., of otolaryngology. After a decade of work to understand what causes millions of people to hear phantom noises in their ears, they’ve developed a technology that’s currently in clinical trials and showing promise. That’s why they were chosen to represent Michigan Medicine in the tournament.
You can help them emerge victorious from their matchup against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, by voting for them by midnight tonight. Click here to vote!
