A decade ago, Michigan Medicine nurse anesthetist Christine Shrewsbury partnered with Dawn Farm in Ypsilanti to create the annual “Ride for Recovery” fundraiser.

Shrewsbury, along with a small group of nurses anesthetists called Team MANA (Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists) have remained committed to this event, which has grown to include about 400-500 people annually.

This year, the 10th Annual Ride for Recovery will take place on Sunday, April 28 on Dawn Farm (6633 Stony Creek Road in Ypsilanti).

There are four bike rides and a run/walk for participants to choose from. The event will conclude with a Recovery Celebration Lunch.

This event is a fabulous way to help in the organizers’ mission of assisting people into recovery.
