Life Sciences Orchestra ensemble to play free concert at University Hospital

Chelsea Gallo and an ensemble from LSO will play at University Hospital on Thursday.

This ensemble is composed of players from the U-M Life Sciences Orchestra (LSO), a program of Gifts of Art at Michigan Medicine. LSO provides performance opportunities for faculty, staff, students, scientists, volunteers and alumni in medical, health science and life science disciplines at U-M.

Leading a group that will offer a free concert on Thursday at University Hospital is LSO music director Chelsea Gallo. Other members are Allie Lahnala, violin; Steph Kim, viola; Alejandro Uribe, cello; Edward Norton, horn; Marc Gerstein, bassoon; and William Burnham, clarinet. The ensemble will play Franz Schubert’s Octet in F Major, composed in 1824.
