Ann Scanlon McGinity, chief nurse executive (CNE) for Michigan Medicine, is leaving the organization effective today. McGinity had been in the CNE role since June 2018 and has since shared unique strategies and energy to assist in completing several goals the organization had in place.

The current chief nursing officer for the U-M Medical Group and Ambulatory Care services, Nancy May, has agreed to serve as the interim chief nurse executive, effective immediately. May has been with Michigan Medicine for more than three years. She previously held both acute care and ambulatory leadership positions at Baylor Scott and White Health and the Cleveland Clinic.

Throughout this transition, Michigan Medicine remains fully committed to supporting the nursing leadership teams and the entire nursing community to ensure that it maintains the highest standards of care for our patients and families.
