An historic banner is part of the exhibition at the Rogel Cancer Center.

The Yankee Air Museum dedicates itself to educating individuals about the history of U.S. military aviation.

Located at the historic Willow Run Airport, just east of Ann Arbor, where more than 8,600 B-24 Liberator Bomber aircraft were produced during World War II, the Yankee Air Museum seeks to keep the history of the “Arsenal of Democracy” alive.

The Willow Run Bomber Plant is home to ‘Rosie the Riveter,’ the iconic symbol of the thousands of women who poured into industrial factories to help the war effort during WWII.

An exhibition now on display at Michigan Medicine features unique artifacts from the U.S. home front, the Willow Run Bomber Plant and local WWII aviators from Ann Arbor.
