10:00am - 2:00pm

Building 18 NCRC

Rogel Cancer Center is excited to announce the return of One Day Closer for students of all ages, survivor’s, University of Michigan employees, and their families, to inspire our young future scientists and support their career paths in cancer research, care and prevention.

This event is being held right where the research happens, at University of Michigan, North Campus Research Complex (NCRC). Attendees will witness firsthand all that goes into translational research, from a cancer diagnosis and biopsy, through study and procedures in the lab, to a new drug treatment development and application. Students will be able to engage with several facets of the Rogel Cancer Center including lab tours, interactive booths, and short talks. They will get to witness researchers at work real time in the lab! The booths will provide more specific information and hands-on activities for further knowledge in specific areas, in which attendees can participate at their leisure.

We are here to support young students on their career path in science, and provide them with experience and resources they may not otherwise be exposed to. Researchers are dedicating this one extra day to bring us one day closer to cures for cancer, and hope to share this with the community.
