Heritage Month videos will be made available to faculty and staff.

Organizational Learning has released a new series of online videos to help celebrate the diversity of the university community.

The “heritage month” videos, created by diversity trainer Steve Robbins, celebrate occurrences such as Black History Month (February), Women’s History Month (March), LGBTQ+ Pride Month (June).

Each month, a new set of videos will be available for viewing. They can be watched individually or with groups to promote dialogue and understanding of others.

The Black History Month videos are available now.

U-M faculty and staff members can sign up to receive notification of new videos available each month by email.

There are also a number of other resources for both individuals and teams on the Organizational Learning website. Some of those offerings include:

  • “DEI: The Basics” online module
  • “Inclusion Insights” series of 2-minute videos
  • In-person sessions on unconscious bias, bystander intervention, disability awareness and more

Organizational Learning promotes lifelong learning resources and opportunities for U-M faculty and staff, including strategies for career growth, leadership development and campus culture change initiatives. The department also develops long-term educational strategies and interventions for university-wide culture change initiatives including diversity, equity and inclusion, and sexual harassment and misconduct.
