There’s still time to register for PreventT2
The Diabetes Prevention Program, PreventT2, starts next Monday, Jan. 21.
PreventT2 is part of the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program. If you have prediabetes, this evidence-based approach can help cut your risk for diabetes in half.
Throughout this year-long program, you will receive nutrition guidance, increase your physical activity and work toward moderate weight loss.
The group is led by a registered dietitian nutritionist and diabetes educator.
With the support of the dietitian and your peers, you will develop new, healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Through these lifestyle changes, not only might you reverse prediabetes, but you might also benefit from improved blood pressure, cholesterol, joint pain, energy levels and overall well-being.
You are eligible for the program if you meet both of these requirements:
- Lab results showing A1C of 5.7-6.4% in the last year.
- BMI of 25 or higher (23 or higher if Asian).
