Duo set to perform classical music concert at Michigan Medicine

Henrik Karapetyan will perform with Xavier Suarez on Thursday.

Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Henrik Karapetyan holds a doctorate in violin performance from U-M, is a member of the Michigan Opera Orchestra, and is active as a folk, Gypsy and jazz violinist throughout the Midwest.

Pianist Xavier Suarez currently resides in Bowling Green, Ohio, where he leads the active career of a soloist, collaborator and teacher.

Having performed together since 2010, the Karapetyan-Suarez Duo will present a free program for faculty, staff, patients and families at Michigan Medicine. The concert will focus mostly on classical compositions by 19th- and 20th-century composers of Armenian origin. Look for live stream video of the concert on the Gifts of Art Facebook page.
