Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) has been working closely with the various research divisions and clinical areas within Michigan Medicine that have not upgraded their Windows-based devices to Windows 10.

All CoreImage devices must be on the new operating system before the end of the year when Microsoft will end its support for Windows 7.

Windows 10 teams will be reaching out by email and coming to your area. Be sure to respond so you can set a date for your device to be updated. You will review the migration process together with your representative and coordinate the schedule within your departments to avoid any disruption to your workflow.

The upgrade will ensure that the organization’s computing environment is current and supported with all the updates and security patches necessary. Windows 10 is also required for many new versions of software used throughout Michigan Medicine.

Nearly 24,000 devices within the organization have been migrated to the new operating system  representing well over half of all CoreImage devices.

Helpful user guides and tips for backing up your files and internet favorites are available on the Windows 10 Project page.
