For example, over the past few days, Headlines told the story of Zandra Kunzelman, who became the first staff member to win both the People’s Choice Award and Best in Show at the Gifts of Art Employee Art Exhibition.
Readers also learned about Interpreter Services, an essential team that must be brought in if a patient is not proficient in English or is deaf or hard of hearing; employees were given important tools to help them quit smoking or using tobacco during the Great American Smokeout; and a number of faculty and staff were recognized for making a difference last month.

In her clerical role with the Department of Radiology, Zandra Kunzelman helps patients and their families every day. But it’s Kunzelman’s other talents — including her artistic ability — that earned her some kudos in recent weeks. Kunzelman won two awards at the 2018 Gifts of Art Employee Art Exhibition. Don’t quit quitting: Recognizing the Great American Smokeout
Every year, the American Cancer Society and health care organizations around the U.S. celebrate the Great American Smokeout. It’s a day dedicated to helping the more than 38 million Americans who smoke or otherwise use tobacco.
