You’re invited: World premiere of video aimed at improving care for transgender individuals

All Michigan Medicine faculty, staff and learners are invited to the world-premiere celebration of “… Caring for transgender patients,” a new video produced by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The video is sponsored by the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion and was produced through a diversity, equity and inclusion mini-grant received in 2017.

The video aims to create job-specific training to improve the comfort and competency of frontline staff at Michigan Medicine in caring for transgender patients and visitors.

When: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19

Where: MCHC Auditorium, UH South

There will be popcorn, refreshments and a Q&A discussion with individuals involved in the filming.

The video will also be on MLearning beginning in late October.
