Open Enrollment for 2019 benefits now underway

October 22, 2018  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources,

Open Enrollment for 2019 benefits begins today and ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2.

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to change your U-M health plan, choose a different dental plan option, or enroll in the vision plan or legal services plan.

Eligible faculty and staff may also enroll in a Flexible Spending Account. To learn more about your benefits options, visit the University Human Resources website.

During Open Enrollment, employees may make benefits changes through Wolverine Access self-service as often as they wish until the 5 p.m. deadline on Nov. 2. Retirees may also use Wolverine Access or complete and return the form included in their Open Enrollment books. Changes and new rates take effect Jan. 1, 2019.

Please be advised: If you are happy with your benefits, you do not need to do anything to keep them — with one exception. IRS rules do not allow FSA enrollments to continue across calendar years. You will need to re-enroll if you wish to participate in an FSA for 2019.
